Now with each article, there are 2 ads and 2 corresponding adsense ids associated, one yours and other that of your affiliate's. You both have equal opportunity to earn from the article while Yonda will take its turn to show its ad 1% of the times.
Affiliate is the person who will market your article by whatever means, be it putting your link in various website signatures, spam mailing, twitter, facebook etc. The main idea behind the platform is that there are some average articles(they don't say average ;)) which can earn provided they are marketed well. It's like a product which does not sell can be sold or its demand can be increased by using proper marketing strategies. So one person submits the articles and another becomes his marketing manager, very much on the lines of distributing responsibilities in organizations for smooth flow of work.

Well, firstly, I wouldn't suggest risking your adsense by submitting copied/plagiarized articles and thus violating the terms of use. Probably, Yonda doesn't let the Google crawler index its content and hence claims to allow copied content but it is too much to risk.
Secondly, you don't know who the marketing manager for your article (affiliate) is and what strategies does he use to market your articles. There is a fair chance that he might use some black hat strategies which might land both of you in trouble. In organizations, when you have a marketing manager, you are in touch with him as to how he is planning to market the product, what are his strategies etc. But here, you have no contact with him, trust that he will perform in the right manner is a whole different issue!
Hence, considering the above, I would not suggest anyone to use the platform, unless you can have a very close friend of yours as a affiliate whom you can trust! If you want some extra views, you probably are better off bookmarking your article to social bookmarking sites like SheToldMe. Here, you earn from the article as well as from the bookmark. Or you can even bookmark others' articles legally!
